לאבי ארע ארוע מוחי מוגדר כקל לפני יומיים. צד אחד בפנין משותק , את ידו השמאלית הוא מרים בקושי והיום הוא החל להרים את גלו השמאלית. ברצוני להוסיף כי אבי עבר ניתוח מעקפים ומטופל בתרופות ללחץ דם גבוה למרות שבתקופה האחרונה עלה לו לחץ הדם והרופאה במעקב לא התיחסה. כמו כן אבי קיבל תרופות לדילול שגרמו לו פרפורים לכן הופסקו לפני כחודשיים. הייתי רוצה לדעת תוך כמה זמן אמור מצבו להתייצב? מתי ואם ניראה שיפור או חזרה לתפקוד? ולאן ממשיכים מפה? בתודה מרש ריקי

As a good friend of my parents had a stroke, on seeing his frustration and considering the agony and pain he went through. I have developed a speech multimedia computer program that will let stroke victims interface with any old inexpensive PC (computer) with a sound card a speaker and CD drive (win 95+) it will generate a human voice. It will end the patient frustration. All he or she has to do is point a finger or move the mouse if they can touch an icon on the screen no need to press buttons or keystrokes or any other movements. The screen can be located in a convenient point not necessarily on a desk, it can be mounted anywhere that is accessible to the patient. The program and my services are free. However the production cost of the CD stands at $10-00 each. For many patients, speech therapy is an integral part of recovery. According to Doctors, therapy can improve speech at any stage of the recovery process. In this age of managed care, however, therapists generally have just a limited time and resource to work with patients. (And patient has usually limited financial resource). If you let me know what access the patient has if at all to a PC and what type of a computer I may send you the disk and instructions you how to use the CD and the programs on it. (Each patient may need a different version of this exercise & games) They are easy to use and very entertaining. Different therapists have different strategies.
