Hi, I'm 36.5, and pregnant. I have a goiter, but my thyroid hormone test came back normal a few days ago. I wasn't given any meds for it so far. This is my 4th pregnancy, 1st & 2nd healthy babies, the 3rd was a miscarriage:(at 11 weeks). My question is, which test is advisable (CVS or amino) if at all. To make matters more complex, we live in Asia, and here none of these tests are done, also early scan and triple test (helbon ubari) is unavailable, they only do nucal and late system scan. I'd love to hear your opinion on this...also if there are any other tests that I might can do. Since none of these are done here, I have to make arrangements for going abroad or back home if I must do a cvs or amino. Thank you very much for your answer in advance.

it is difficult to consult exactly because data are missing. according to your age, amniocentesis is recommended, but it may be better to get exact risk figure usig additional screening tests. perhaps it would be better to come home...
