fever and diarrhea

Hi, I guess this may sound strange question but I am still concerned. Could a development in manufacturing of formula milk such as added prebiotics cause my six and a half months bay having fever, diarrhea and vomiting for 4 days now ? They say on the package that prebiotics are found naturally in breastmilk, as well as in certain fruit and vegetables, such as bananas. I know it might be only a virus but still I keep wondering since it all started when we first introduced him to the new formula. I think the old version does not excist anymore. it is by the way called - cow and gate. made in the u.k thank you very much

Hi again, Is it recommended to switch for soy based or lactose free formula for a while ? The nurse here told me that sometimes baby with diarrhea may develop a temporary lactose intolerance. it is the fifth day and the diarrhea is quite severe. Thank you again
