Hello to whoever may assist - I was bitten by (a few) dogs in Tibet on 10.6.05. On the same day I recieved the first vaccination injection in a hospital in Lhasa. However later on learned I should have gotten a shot named RIG (Rabies immune globin) because I did not get a vaccination before hand. I kept on getting 3 more vaccinations (with dates "by the book : on the 13th, 17th AND 24th) AND I have one more to get on the 8th. I was ok for 2 weeks. Yesterday (25/6/05) I started to feel bad. Like a flu. It just might be a flu though i'm worried. I will be hoping to be able to get a blood check soon (have to get to a big city). Is it even possible to do so? check the blood for rabies? I heard the immun injections are not 100% afficiant. How worried should I be? I will appreciate a quick reply! Thank you.

Hello Meirav I am also unhappy about you not receiving RIG About your flu-like symptoms- let's hope it is only a flu, but it also can be a first manifestation of a more serious diseas- including rabies About diagnosing rabies- blood test are n o t a good way to do it In summary- I suggest you see a Doctor soon All the best Efy

Thank you for your quick reply. U said a blood test is not the right thing. What is??.. I'm in China at the moment. The doctors I've seen said they're sure it's a flu however, they did not form any tests. Should I come home?? I will reach a big city today. what tests should I ask for?? thanks again.
