Tongue Tie
דיון מתוך פורום רפואת ילדים - הלל יפה
Dear Doctor, My daughter's newborn apparently has Tongue Tie and as a a result my daughter is finding difficulty feeding I believe this can be surgically corrected. Is this advisable or not as I have read many differing opinions in Medical Literature. Is the op serious, risky and who should be consulted about this and how soon? The baby is 2 days old. Many Thanks, Concerned grandmother
you havn't metioned the age of the child , anyhow - in most cases tied tongue is not a nedical problem - it is more cosmetical or might influence speech - if there is a problem in feeding than it is consered as a reason for the operation wich is very eazily doen even with no anesthesia by ENT or general surgeons
