סכיזופרניה

My son had a "schzophrenic like" episode two and a half years ago and was hospitalised in a psychotic state for three months. Background was the death of his older sister and use of drugs "as a relief from grief" During this period he has not worked except for a disastrous attempt to count and pack labels at a government facility/rehab centre in Yavne. His coordination was never a strong point and it was not a successful move except that he got up to go there most days. He had another short hospitalisation for three weeks in Nov 2001 and at this time was evaluated. His intelligence is apparently not impared but the par between his intelligence and motivation is very low. In fact there is no motivation. Medication - Respidal 4 mg: Klonex once a day and since the second hospitisation he takes half a sleeping pill at night. Most of the time he has had psychological attention and is under a psychatrist for medication and consultation . In short he is not improving, quite the opposite. The last few months he is prone to anxiety/panic attacks and often feels that he might harm us, his parents. He lives at home (he is 30 years old) and we are at a loss as to how to help him. He sleeps a great deal. Are there new ideas, methods, fascilities that we have overlooked and do not know about? I thank you in advance for any information or advice you can give us Pearl
