I had surgery on my right foot to remove a growth inside my foot. (Not visible from outside) The MRI and other film clearly showed where the growth was. The surgeon cut from the top of my foot between the 4th & 5th digits.. He did not find any growth and closed me up without having rwemoved anything. He said that there was nothing to remove. He said that he pushed aside some fat tissue and I would feel fine. After recovering, I felt the same pains as I did before the surgery. The doctor tried to convince me that the pain will o away in time. Through my regular orthopedist I got an Xray, which revealed that the growth was in the exact same spot. I then was sent for another MRI, which confirmed this. I went to another surgeon who didn't understand how the first surgeon cut me from the top when it was so clear that in order to get to the growth you had to cut from the bottom. A year after the first surgery I had surgery again. This time the growth was removed and I feel fine. Besides my ugly scar I was traumatized by the fact that I had to have surgery again. During the first surgery the local anesthetic didn't work completely and I was in pain and felt everything when he was inside. The second surgeon, after being warned by me of the problem and seeing the panic I was in from the first surgery, took 1 hour just to put my foot to sleep. He said that I have an unusual nerve situation in my foot that I should keep on record in case I have to have surgery again. Yet the first doctor didn't find this nerve situation and caused me excrutiating pain while I was on th e table. Do I have a case? Please let me know. Thanks.
